Yorkshire Pudding
This is a traditional meal, which consists of a dish-shaped pastry that you fill with gravy. The pastry tastes like bread, and is really light and fluffy. This dish actually started in the middle ages when people did not use plates to eat, so they made dish-shaped bread to hold the rest of their food, sort of like an edible plate.
Pasties
First of all, they unfortunately do not come in pumkin flavor.
These are sort of like hot-pockets, only better. :) The traditional Cornish pasty has beef, potatoe, and onion, wrapped in a croissant-like pastry. However, pasties can have all sorts of different fillings. Perhaps I will find pumpkin somewhere.
Crumpets
Crumpets are actually a cross between an English muffin and a pancake. They are very light and spongy, and not sweet at all - they taste like bread. But if you put jam on them, they are very nice to eat with tea!
Fish and Chips
This actually refers to fish and french fries. See British Colloquialisms page for more food name changes. :)
Digestive Biscuits
This is actually a type of cookie. They are pretty plain and simple, a lightly sweetened almost cracker-like cookie. They are also intended to be eaten with tea, although in my opinion, they taste better with nutella.
